The Human Resource Training Coordinator plans, develops, coordinates and conducts all agency-sponsored training. The Training Coordinator also serves as a back up to the Training Specialist. Administers and maintains web based training software. Coordinates with the Leadership team to administer the D.S.P. Tier Program. Formulates training outlines and determines appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, workshops and/or computer-based training as appropriate. Confers with managers and supervisors to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employees to better understand policies, procedures, regulations, techniques and technologies.


Required: Associate’s degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Valid Alaska driver license, clean driving record, proof of insurance, TB skin test/health screening and the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree with concentration of study on social/human services, special education, or other directly related areas. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a social services setting assisting recipients in advocacy or self-advocacy areas. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a social services setting assisting recipients in employment or vocational areas.
